When I called Nokia about the matter, they informed me that they had nothing
to do with the recall and could not tell me which
batch or batches of phones were defective.
In other words, they stonewalled.
When I called T-Mobile sales about the issue, they denied
that the recall had ever happened.
My local T-Mobile store has completely ceased selling the 5610,
although they continue to sell other Nokia phones
such as the 5310.
Another T-Mobile reseller simply claimed there was no recall.
The poor manner in which the recall aftermath has been handled,
with silence instead honesty, does not speak well of
Nokia as a company.
