Nacho Libre is a hilarious movie about a failed Mexican monk who has a
life-long dream to prove himself as a costumed Lucha Libre fighter, which is
the Mexican equivalent to "pro" wrestling.
Played by Jack Black, the main character is working mainly as a
cook at a monastery, with few actual priestly duties, lonely and smarting
from the daily disrespect that he suffers.
He's someone everyone except perhaps an outright bully can relate to.
As such he offers many opportunities for the audience to laugh at him, and
themselves.
This film is a modern classic to watch again and again, similar to
Princess Bride.
As with that film, you may find yourself quoting it from time to time.
The movie music is excellent.
