My review of the film Super Bad

The plot here is that of teenage boys trying to get laid before they graduate and move on to separate colleges. The carefully crafted, clever dialog that opens the movie is what pulls you in immediately. Some implausible turns in the plot and characters are easily forgiven as you realize that this is the telling of a "tall tale" in cinematic form. They are pulling your leg when hot girls pair up with genuinely geeky boys (not mere movie-star types dressed to appear geeky). It's a comedy of the implausible, and yet it is very funny.
