My Favorite Places
These are some of my favorite haunts on
the web. All are active as of mid 2008.
SCIENCE and
ASTRONOMY:
- Project Cassini The
awesome Cassini probe is orbiting Saturn and
sending back incredible photos and data about this gas giant planet and it's
incredible moons. Find out all about Titan- a moon with methane lakes
and an atmosphere denser then Earth's! See the ice water eruptions on tiny Enceladus or the unusual
looking moon, Hyperion! It's all here! This probe has
successfully completed it's planned mission with flying colors and is now in
extended-mission mode.
-

Phoenix lander has touched down near Mars' north pole and has already
discovered water-ice just below the surface dust! Follow the latest
reports from this satellite here!

since 1974! Now this probe will be making more discoveries about this
little world so close to the Sun.

Telescope Go here to
see what discoveries this incredible instrument of science has made this
week! If anyone out there still thinks spending money on science is a
waste of money, this page should change your mind.
-
- The Nine Planets Bill Arnett's page is the most comprehensive,
up to date, Solar System information source I have ever seen. If you need
some quick facts about the Solar System, you'll find them here. It's
official name is now "The Eight Planets" but Arnett has kept the
URL the same as before. You never know... Pluto might be voted back up
to planet hood in the future.
CRUISE HOME
PAGES:
- Ship
Parade Bart de Boer's
extremely comprehensive and very well laid out page devoted to cruise ships
(I'm envious!). If you're thinking about cruising on a ship, chances
are good Bart's been on it and has excellent pictures to boot! Visit

STAR TREK

great Trek news.

on sci-fi!

Gerry & Sylvia Anderson sci-fi action series from the
late sixties, this page must not be missed! Marc Martin

everything in the UFO universe.
REFERENCE
PAGES:
- CNN Cable
News Network on the web. Get the news in a balanced format unlike that
other "news" network.
- Map Quest A real
cool site! This one allows you to input any address-
and then draws you a printable map! All for free,
too! Check it out! Has all new interface
which is far faster!
- The Presidents of the US Need to know some quick facts on any of our
commander-in-chiefs? This page has it all, from

pictures. The page starts with George Washington and
covers all the way to William Jefferson Clinton. A must
see for the history buff in all of us.
- Tom's Hardware Guide This guy tests just about every new fangled
piece of computer hardware that comes to market, then reviews it in an
honest, unbiased way. He's done more to save me money on computer
purchases then he'll ever know! Go to this site and read the latest
before you make any new computer purchases.
-
- James Randi Educational Foundation
A site dedicated to baloney detection and exposure. Before you buy
into UFOs, Ghosts, Clairvoyants and every other sort of silly nonsense out
there paraded as real or (worse yet) "science", you need to
visit this site for the real deal. The truth is out there alright.
COMPANY

quality components at incredibly affordable rates! I buy all of my
motherboards from these folks! Check out their page for their latest
offerings!

beautiful product line. All Klima-gro products can
be ordered via their homepage or 1-800-KLIMAGRO.
Tell Tom Davidson I said, "Hi!".
UNUSUAL
PAGES:
- The
Death Clock This silly little
site tries to predict your death date (based on what, who knows?) with
just a few personal facts fed into it. It's all in fun. (I
should start worrying about things in the fall of 2034 according to this
site...)
-
- Find
A Grave Ever wonder
if that favorite celebrity is still living or where their mortal remains
are today? Well, this (poorly designed) site might be able to help

celebrity's worse nightmare... getting their mug shot posted here!
