Process Audit

A Process audit takes from 2 to 3 days.   It begins with a conference call including manufacturing, engineering and quality management to:

• Understand the products manufactured.

• Understand the equipment and process.

• Set objectives for the audit.

A questionnaire is sent to be filled out by the appropriate staff before the site visit. The questionnaire addresses:

• Manufacturing process and SOP's.

• Maintenance procedures.

• Material flow.

• Customer satisfaction.

The site visit starts with a kickoff meeting followed by a plant tour.  During the plant tour, key members of the staff are interviewed.  This is not an audit to see if you are following your SOP's.  This is an audit to ensure that you are controlling and maintaining the process correctly.  Operator and engineering training are also reviewed.

One day is taken to verify and summarize the results that are then presented to management.
