Mary Helene Clary and Jerry Myrick married the evening following graduation. Moved to Hobbs, New Mexico shortly thereafter and have remained there. We have a son and 2 daughters, 3 Grandchildren, and 6 GREAT Grandchildren, all living in the Hobbs area. Mary has worked as church secretary, A CPA firm, and a Floral and Gift shop through the years and enjoyed the experience. However, when the first GREAT-Grandson came along, I saw the opportunity of spoiling him real good, so stayed home. We have enjoyed two other Great Grandsons and 3 Great Granddaughters since then. Jerry retired in 2004 and we have enjoyed the time together. We have done a little traveling with classmates, and what an experience that has been! Mary maintains the HSHS Database as her Hobby.
I still own my own business, but I wish I was retired! Cathy says we're semi-retired. What's that supposed to mean? (It means that for the first time in 25 years we took a 2 week vacation this yea, and went to Ohio. Cathy---We are making and effort to enjoy life. We have built a house at Lake Alan Henry which is a great lake southeast of Post, Tx. It's supposed to be our home away from home, but so far we've spent very little time there. I also like to go fishing and boating there. We have recently bought a 5th wheel so we plan to do a lot of traveling. I'm ready to go today!
Mike Reid:
I have been retired for four years, and it hasn't been boring at all. I have been
helping my wife Virginia at the school library. Also taking care of my granddaughter
Tarryn-Jade, While her mother works or is in school. That alone is a full time job.
I have 11 grand kids; it's very hard trying to spend time with all of them.
I still play in a couple of golf tournaments a year. I really need to practice
more. I just play for the fun of being with some of the people I used to work with.
We get to spend some time on Lake Powell. Sure is a pretty place to be, when the
wind isn't blowing. We have a 25-foot cabin cruiser, and it handles the rough water
really well. I hope everyone shows up for this special reunion. I feel the
friendship of the 1960 class is the best. Maybe we just want to feel young by
not breaking the ties. It sure brings back fond memories of yesteryear.
Nerose Hyman Graham: I moved with my family to Plains, Texas the day after graduation in 1960 and lived here since
that time. I have been teaching for 30 years in Denver City, Texas at an elementary
school, which is about a 45 minute drive from plains. I am about ready for retirement, I
think I am getting too old for this. I married Joe Brown and we have two sons. We also have
two grandchildren. Joe and I were divorced and I am now married to Lee Graham and we continue
to live in Plains, Texas
Linda (Morgan) and Cliff Durbin:
Wish I could be with everyone this year but I will be in Apache Junction AZ
at the wedding of my nephew, Jeff Morgan. Needless to say, my brother will
not be at the reunion either and he has wanted to attend one. Two years ago
his other son became a father class reunion weekend. Kids will do it to you
every time! Clifford and I have been retired since 1994 and spend our
winters in AZ and try to spend our summers in BC, Yukon Terr and Alaska. We
launched the new millennium in Las Vegas, returned home in April for taxes
and left for a month in Europe. We spent our 37th anniversary in London (as
we did our 35th). What a fun city. This summer we are doing the
grandparent thing and enjoying every minute. Our motorhome is parked at the
ocean so the whole family can enjoy the beach all summer. We have two sons,
34 and 32. One has 4 girls and the other 3 girls - Mackenzie 8, Morgan 7,
Taylor 6, Jordan 6, Carlie 4, Madison 3 and Courtney 2. We live in WA
because Clifford loves to fish and Boeing was here. Our home is on the Green
River in Auburn. I worked at Bell Labs in NJ for two yrs as did Clifford
while he completed his Masters in Mechanical Engr at NY Univ. Clifford
switched to computing in the early years and I later worked for a wholesale
paper house as a Customer Service Rep. Very interesting work but I was more
than happy to retire and play. Have a good time everyone. I hope to be at
the next gathering of friends.

Sorry I wasn't able to make the last reunion. I
intended on doing so but time just got away from me.
Seems as if time is just whizzing by these days. I
have been married to Judy since 1962. We
have 3 grandchildren and one new great granddaughter.
I have been working in engineering since about 1964
designing piping systems and layout of petrochemical
plants and offshore platforms. I have 2 Tennessee
Walking horses and train hunting dogs for a past time.
I had an airplane but sold it and am not flying at
this time. I fly RC model airplanes from time to
time. I've had several boats and fished a lot when I
lived in Garland Texas. When I moved to Houston
fishing got to be too much trouble due the the
distance and traffic. We have a small house on 2 acres
just outside Houston in Cypress. The horses make a
mess on the place but with my tractor I am able to
clean up after them. Been working around 55 hour /
week for about 2 years now. I am trying to learn to
build web pages for my wife and the dog club. Well I
guess that's more than you wanted to know so I will
let you go. I would be interested in the next
reunion. Lord willing I will still be around then.
Bye,
Gerald (Jerry) Richey
