David Burks is president of
Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and has been since 1987. David and
Leah have two boys who both now teach at Harding. Both are married and have
three children each. Our e-mail address is: president@harding.edu and we
would treasure hearing from any of you.
Robert and Sally (Dowell, class of 64) McGuire. Lives on the old family farm
near Arrey and works for the US Post Office.
Ronald McGuire: Worked for Santa Fe railroad for 35 years, currently an engineer
working in Carlsbad on a road switcher. During my career on the railroad I've
built track and bridges, ran heavy equipment, cleaned up derailments, been in
derailments, pulled 24,000 ton, 2 mile long trains, have been in a head on
train wreck, have had a 1000 near misses with cars at crossings and never a
boring day. Have about 3 years until I'll be out the door to retirement.
I have plans for fishing, travel and someplace cooler to be.
Married 34 years to Mary, we have lived in Carlsbad, NM for 20 years and
lots of places along the railroad before then. We have two children, a son
Stacy who is a detective with Carlsbad Police Dept., and the father of our 3
grandchildren. Our daughter Danette works at the University in Las Cruces
as the Activity Specialist for the New Mexico State 4-H youth program.

Barbara (Strasia) Valentine: Hi there! this is a photograph of my husband Hank
(Henry), and myself. We were at an author's new book party
and signing event. Dee Ratcliff is the author. We were
there because she used one of my poems in her book. It made
me feel so good to do something like that. I have written a
lot of poems and copyrighted them to. I want to write
lyrics for some country songs.
Henry Valentine sent us this picture to share with Barbara's classmates. Barbara is third from right
Dale Wright: After high school I joined the navy in 1963, after boot camp I
married Terri Garcia, then spent 2 years in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. my son Gary
Wright was born. Transferred to White Sands Missle Range for 1 year. After the
service I came back to T. or C., where I worked various jobs and at Piggly Wiggly,
as a meat cutter. Got divorced and went to southern California, in and around
Orange County where I worked at Alpha Beta as a meat cutter/manager. 2
years later I got married again to Sue Wright. I then was blessed with a
daughter, Debbie Sue. Divorced again, played around for 10 or 15 years.
vacationed in Oregon for 5 summers where I got to raise my daughter.
I then moved to Lapine, Oregon on turkey day in 1982. I started working in
the rv repair business for Patterson's rv in Bend, Oregon. Started my own
business in 1985. Got married again 6 years ago to a wonderful lady named Maggie
We have 2 horses, enjoy camping, hunting, and fishing. Still crazy as ever.
Joy and Roy Finley:
Joy Finley Andrews: I have two daughters, 3 stepsons, and 3 grandsons.
I retired from the VA Medical Center with 33 years of service
January 1, 1999 as Chief of Finance. I am working for a
program connected with the school district as a teacher aide.
I am in a class room with 9th graders who have social
problems such as drugs, broken homes, stealing, and
some are on probation. Math and English are the subjects
we teach. I also fill in as secretary in the school office
when needed. I work 7:45 to 2:20 Monday through Friday
and work about 3/4 of a mile from home. I have lived
in New York state since 1968 as my first husband (I met
at White Sands Missile Range) had a job here. My present
husband is an electrician and works for the local union.
I live between Syracuse, NY and Buffalo, NY, about 30
miles southeast of Rochester, NY.
Butch Morgan: Married to Karon, has two children and three stepchildren, owns and
operates Morgan Marine in T or C. Likes hunting, fishing and geneology. Owes Pat
$3.27 plus interest.
