American Model Yachting Association Club #294

We are a group of T-37 owners in the Pacific Northwest who like to get together for the enjoyment of  remote control sailing. We have members in the greater Seattle and Bellingham areas of Washington State. We welcome anyone with a T-37 to come out and have some fun in an informal low keyed RC sailing environment. Our primary objective is to have fun sailing in a group environment while enjoying the company of other T-37 owners. Anyone with an interest in remote control sailing is welcome to join us on our sailing events. No experience is needed.

We sail a remote controlled T-37 sail boat as manufactured by Tippecanoe Boats, Ltd. The T-37 is a 37-inch long wood hull sailing sloop with a 45" mast, and a keel-fin depth of about 10.5", all built out of 1/8 inch mahogany plywood. A finished boat weighs 5 lbs with the mast removable for easy transport. A 2-channel radio is used for the control of both the sails and rudder. Other boats that some time sail at our events are the
T-50 MOD (a 50" Marblehead class boat) and a T-50 Trimaran.

For the T-37 competitive events our boats are sailed as a “One Design“ class with minor rig variations allowed. You must use the wood hull, the keel-fin/ballast configuration as designed and the original sails. Servos and rigging may be modified. For more information see the American Model Yachting Association web site and the T-37 Class page. AMYA registration.

We have T-37 owners in the greater Puget Sound Region. Many of our members are located in Anacortas, Bellingham, Birch Bay, Seattle, and around Northwest Washington. We sail at many venues from among our various group members locations during the sailing season. See our "Regatta Schedule" and "Sailing Location" pages for information on sailing dates and venues for our group sails.

Club Membership

We ask those who are actively sailing in PNMYC major events to make their membership official by completing our membership form and returning a check for the appropriate yearly dues or non-member event fee.

We want our organization to inclusive rather than exclusive, so unless you ask to be removed from our email distribution list, we will continue send you notice of our activities.  Non member participation in our sailing events is encouraged, but scoring for trophies, major events and season championships will require a yearly PNMYC membership or single event fee.  Other benefits of membership will include our annual meeting and the availability of T37 insignia and sail numbers.  And the best benefit of all, the association with a great group of RC model sailors.
