Wholesome Rain

Wholesome Rain

mine the color lavender; yours

flaxen,

the sun never shined on a man

as beauty

on a beauty like yours.

whining with passion (a fruit in waiting)

the linger of your shadow haunts me.

your face:  a mere memory

of yesterday's reverie.  i want

the taste of your luscious, for

with you, i'll crush this

nighttime fantasy, this alabastered

hope that i carry on my breast; this

shadow of negro holding

fast to expectation

like a magnol'

with leaves jaded and shivering -

i want you.

brother,

where 'for art thou

mine dearest romeo?  of a fading frost

whilst the family folds temptation?

brother,

where hath thee been

this eager existence

and generations past?; shall I count

the craven temper in your breath?, shall

you know the essence of juliet

that montague passed with a grimace,?

shall you glimpse this tempest

called rhythm

that beats for you? shall you recognize it.

i have awakenings

the drought ethiopia never knew;

(syrian snows fiend for us)

the quenching angels flee from,

but the sustenance

that made demons cry:  Love.

tears i have, the shade of manhood

and her shame.

i know you from somewhere; where

'for art thou

brother; our Mother cries for us.
