What I Wish And How

What I Wish And How

pens & needles, stitches, dimes

dropping in open

courtrooms,

the silence poignant

like open wombs, a baby,

a smack, a congrats,

a sniff-n-scratch (I want

to act the drama for dead

presidents, precedence the

omnipotence of a penny

with tired excuses & blatant

misuses)  the 12-step program

a fad of slammed doors,

a cat’s hunger, a dog in meowed

pleasantries - I’m tired.

but shall you throw

me something

i can use?…  something

that would make cents…

a can perhaps?

perhaps a sappy smile,

a wet thigh, an improvised high; why

must you

temptation & treat me

this way?,  a spectacular witness

to why I wish what I

wish and how.
