Ian Williamson --- Photography
Ian Williamson is an 18 year old senior highschool student originally from Kingston, NY. Mr. Williamson currently resides in the Austin, TX area where he is in the tedius process of applying to colleges throughout the United States. He hopes to major in Engineering - possibly at the University of Pittsburgh - after highschool graduation.
So what draws you into the niche of photography: "Photography allows me to show others what I see in the world. It's like telling a bit of a story with each snapshot. It [allows me to] to defy conventional labels. I consider myself as more of a “prosumer” photographer."
A "professional consumer" of photography? Hm, that's interesting: "Something between professional and consumer" quips a coy Ian. "I've photographed live music performances, food, and people, nature scenes, and city scapes: anything that I find interesting."
During his time behind the camera lense, Ian describes himself more appropriately as an amateur photographer. He does, however, defy conventional labels; Ian's work has a whimsical charm about it, and really does make eloquent statements of maturity. You may visit his online photo gallery at Dropic.org. |
