Midnight Drops
I yearn to speak of you so fluidly, so eloquently, so poignantly, but I am limited by the constraints of my own mind, and my own language, as visions of you dance through my head. Wordless images, meaning I can not convey, feelings I can not orate, for they are insubstantial, intangible, inner, inward notions of.... something. So how do I define my heart's response to you? Flashes of need, of touch, taste and smell; rich remembrances of those nights filled with black satin and deep secrets, a soft bodied merlot and tiger lilies; stealing you away at midnight and driving away under the stars to that hidden hollow; cool rain falling on your skin and mine, the drops lit by the illumination of the moon; so many kisses from your soft mouth, and so many tears from your chameleon eyes; so much love, so much hurt, so much history, between you and I. Were we meant for each other? We both used to believe, and so we left it in the hands of the fates. But my passage through these years has changed me from within, and somehow, somewhere, my heart lost its pull to yours. I cry when I think of those times I was yours, and you were mine, when I could think of nothing but you. Nothing else mattered because I knew I had you. So what happened to my heart? I've chosen not to remember so much... Why did I leave you?

Shadow Movements
You tasted like sunshine after darkness searing, before that lazy, lovely heat, staying with me for days. You felt like the rain imbuing me with clarity, cleansing my spirit, raising me up with your touch, as light as air, still trailing over my skin. I feel it, laying here, your phantom fingertips dancing across my body, as your image echoes behind my eyes, pouring over me, enveloping me in your warmth. Those parting touches - too few, too hasty, too thoughtless - still rendering their delicious chills as these moments experienced in memory become dreamlike, crystallized, and perfectly edged in haze. Remembering you, i miss you.
Greatest Impact
It is said he who controls the music of an era controls the people, so why then are we teaching our kids it’s cool to go to jail. Why are we teaching them that selling drugs is the only way to make money or get ahead in life? Why are we letting them believe that crime doesn’t lead to punishment? Music is the greatest impact, so why are we letting this generation believe these made up scenes are real realities. It is said he who controls the music of an era controls the people, so why then is it that ignorance seems to be the only legacy we leave. Music is the greatest impact so why are we showing our kids, our futures that calling females bitches and hoes, and our males niggas and playas is neither disrespectful nor degrading. We are people, human beings, crated in the image of God and we should stand as God has called us Man and Woman. It is said that he who controls the music of an era controls the people, so why then are we teaching our futures that carrying a gun is their only protection, or that robbing, killing, and stealing is the path to manhood. And why then are we showing them that being a so-called thug or gansta equals respect. Music is the greatest impact and we need to check the message. And start showing our futures the meaning of respect. Starts showing them the meaning of integrity, the meaning of loyalty, show them the path to becoming a man, the value of honesty, and the value of truth. Music is the greatest impact and we need to stop playing games and be real for a change. Show our futures that hard work leads to success; show them that confidence leads to greatness, and hope and faith leads to destiny. We need to show them that ignorance leads to death. Music is the greatest impact so let us step up and be real; show our futures the power they have. Show them that they are made in the image of God never to be degraded, defiled, or disrespected. It is said he who controls the music of an era controls the people, so he needs to check his message. Prophet

Wind Song
Wind blows Playing a melancholy song Causing the violin strings of my heart To gently touch Sending tantalizing shivers of tones Through my being Rippling through my spirit, Capturing my soul.
Pin pricks of awareness Arise upon my epidermis Tiny mountains of perception Picking up all the vibes in the wind song Standing at attention, perfectly still… Perfectly.
With each chord of her song Senses rise Looking around Seeing what they must see Knowing what they must know.
Sing to me oh wind, Play your melancholy song Draw from me all that is painful, dreary and sad, Add it to your tune.
Please, please play your song. Release me from this hurt, Renew me, Revitalize me, Caress me, Accept me.
