"CASEY'S POEM
"
Though the years have passed you by,
You're always with me in my heart.
The memories sometimes make me cry,
So young in life, you did depart.
I remember playing on the hill,
And climbing the neighbors fence.
Those Lion King songs are with me still,
They've been with me ever since.
In my days, thoughts intervene,
Not just of times now gone.
Of how it would be as sweet sixteen,
Spent with you and not alone.
You rest beneath a blanket of snow,
In the winter, I visit you there.
But in my soul, I've come to know,
That you're with me everywhere.
So brave you were, throughtout the strife,
Of the pain, and things unknown.
With grace, you traveled the circle of life,
And one day, I will see you at home.
