FOREVERMORE

If I were told tomorrow,
That I could never love again,
I would not feel the sorrow,
I would love you ‘til the end.

For you were in my yesterday,
Our souls embraced before.
Our spirits seemed to find the way,
Through time, and forevermore.

Old souls we are, but our love anew,
Each time that we meet again.
The years between seem so few,
All a part of destiny’s plan.

Whether a soldier or a lyricist,
Or an artist from the century past;
I know you and I cannot resist,
For our roles are never miscast.

With each turn of mortality,
Two hearts meld into one.
And love is our only reality,
Together until eternity is done.
