LOST DESTINY

Carry my words to you on the wind,
My deepest devotion, emotions I send,
I watch the tide encroach the shore,
Then steal away and come back once more.

My face being kissed by the warm summer breeze,
I close my eyes, the moment, I seize.
Inhaling the mist, I hear the gull’s cry,
I see the horizon, where the sea meets the sky.

And here on the beach, I lay back in the sand,
The wind is your breath, you take my hand.
The day fades away, succumbs to the night,
Our bodies unveiled, bathed in the moonlight.

Reality is lost in the ocean’s roar,
My soul hears your voice, as it’s heard it before.
I feel your touch as it comes to rest,
Ever so tender upon my breast.

The pounding surf is the beat of our hearts,
Lapping between us before it departs,
I feel your strength as we become one,
Sharing love in the dark as we wait for the sun.

A force as mighty as the glistening sea,
Pulses in waves, of pure ecstasy.
Oh, how I long to keep your memory,
For you were my life... my destiny.
