SOMEONE IS LURKING
Who is lurking in the woods,
Waiting for the innocent prey?
Looking for little Red Riding Hood,
He sweeps her up and takes her away.
Whose eyes spy upon your son,
From a parked car on the street?
Or watches as he plays and runs,
For a chance that they may meet.
Who is typing to your child,
When she is busy, chatting online?
Is it a new friend, meek and mild,
Or a foe with a devious mind?
What enemy creeps about the town,
A predator, emotionally blind.
He brings a smile, yet leaves a frown,
His thoughts are so unkind.
The scenes have all become too real,
The pages of a storybook.
The Big Bad Wolf is now concealed,
Behind a sweet and tempting look.
Behold your children as they play,
Keep a watch and always listen.
For you never know...one day,
You may save your child from missing.
