Lei-Sanne Doo gathered much of her view about life and art growing up on the island of Oahu. The power of earth, ocean and flora continually flow into her work.
Her paintings and monoprints are found in many private and public collections.
She is a graduate of Stanford University where she studied with Frank Lobdell and Nathan Oliveira. Stanford also provided the opportunity to explore the treasures of Florence, Italy while living at the Villa Il Salviatino.
At the Art Students League of New York she took classes with Vaclav Vylatcil, Theo Stamos, and Richard Pousette-Dart. Later paintings from her studio on Spring Street show the influence of the Hudson River views.
