Painting on Various Surfaces; Playing with Clay

I’ve been drawing and painting since I was a child and was encouraged by my mother to be an artist and am a bit of a surrealist. I try to make art that’s a little risky, and not always easy. Painting is a kind of meditation for me.

I’ve always liked to paint while listening to music or NPR on the radio. I spent many hours painting furniture and taught classes. I no longer do either, but I learned a lot from my students! What a wonderful variety of ideas they had!

I’ve been selling Real Estate for 5 years, but am planning to sell less Real Estate and make more art. Life is short, as my father said!
