Polenta is color and texture.
The graphic represents a wooden pallet upon which has been poured hot polenta from a large copper pot (paiolo). The polenta flattens out on the pallet and is cut into portions using a cotton thread. The thread is slipped in between the pallet and the polenta and then lifted up through the polenta.
