Age 62 world record holder @ 12 1 &1/2 Born & raised in Elaine, Arkansas (Phillips county). Discovered pole vaulting in 1959, been enjoying it ever since...think I've almost figgered out how to do it! Joe is a modest man who is an Honorary member of the High Flyers. Joe just set an age group world record for age 62 with a leap of 12' 1&1/2" at Clermont,Fl. on Feb 18,2006. Joe vaults with us in Jax whenever we have a meet. We would like to take some credit for his success, but it all belongs to him.
