Is it a pre-requisite, in your opinion, that the more obscure the
artist, the better the music? If not it certainally appears so. Music
has been my passion all of my like, all types, but I may have heard of
60% of the artists you've listed, let alone some of the worst groups in
history that I did recognize. You will critize some of the greatest and
most successful groups ever, i.e., Fleetwood Mac , and then put The Sex
Pistols garbage on your top 50 list. It is incredible to me that YOU
have the NERVE to consider yourself a music critic, unless, of course,
you are planning a list of the 50 worst music critics ever, and that you
intend top rise rapidly to the top of that list and claim your crown.
Let the population as a whole be the critics of the world, which they
already are btw, by what music they purchase. Hears to hoping one day you
will hear some good music,
Theres a lady whos sure all the glitter is gold and shes buying a stairway to
heaven.
Whoa let the sun beat down upn my face stars to fill my dreams, I am a
traveller of both time and space.![]()
You are an idiot, your taste in music is pathetic. To even include the
clash, a wannabe zeppelin, or the birds who had one good song is retarded.
You are clearly a top 40 fan, who is trying to seem like he knows what he
is talking about when it comes to music. The crap you listed has no place
in the top 50 of anything except albums not to buy. You are a waste of a
home page, geek.
--Kevin W.
It's obvious that you have no idea what good music is. How could you say that albums by groups like The Clash and The Feelies are better than albums like Physical Graffiti? You are a moron.
--Rob
heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, i guess u like crap rock and roll (punk) actually
its not rock and roll//////// the best band in the world is not on it at
least 2, led zeppelin. Their best albums are physical graffiti, led zeppelin
4, and houses of the holy. i actually would put them all up there. physical
graffiti is the absolute best came out right in their peak year, 1975. why
dont u listen to the albums all the songs and then rewrite youre list. i'd
recommend that kashmir is their truly greatest song better than stairway to
heaven to monstrous epics. better than some 2 minute freken punk song.

you must be stoned dipshit
--Jason W.
Your site is crap and your music taste is shite
--Neville E.
Hey man...uhhh I dont know what to say other than I was expecting some
Zeppelin or maybe Pink Floyd CMON whats the deal?
Im not a critic on music but this music sux unless your a chic.
I would of had Stone Temple Pilots up on this top 50 before i would have
The Clash. THE CLASH????? COME ON MAN!!
Anyone with musical taste would know Led Zeppelin is the greatest band that
has ever made an album. NO OFFENSE BUT YOUR SENSE OF MUSIC SUCKS!
--Mike D.
well interesting group of bands you have there. REM, eye? Ever heard of
music that takes tallent to play? REM has no tallent. They couldn't play a
guitar solo if their life depended on it. THAT is tallent. What about Led
Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors. I am sorry that I wasted my time looking
at your list.
-- Ric A.
personally, i thought these were TERRIBLE choices! NO aerosmith, van halen, metallica, LED ZEPPLIN (no this is not plant-inspired;it's done in good taste, something you obviously lack.) or any of some of the other influential bands in history. i apologize to myself for wasting my time.
--Nicholas M.
hey dude, whats up? i noticed that on your top 50 albums of all time there wasnt a single led zeppelin album. WHATS UP WITH THAT? cause i think that Houses of Holy is much better than some ramones or whole cd. just lettin you know cause i know a ton of people who would agree with me. i saw that exile on main st. from the stones was on there so im happy abou that, but i still think that there are some great zeppelin albums such as physical graffitti, zeppelin IV, and the recently new BBC sessions. well just thought youd like to know. get some zeppelin cds on there.
--chris.
[NOTE: The above guy hated my page so much he came back a few days later and left me this delightful note:]
hey man, i just listened to london calling.....what a bunch of crap, i returned it the second i listened to it. how is that crap number one????? its a cd of 80's hits, first off 80's hits is an oxymoron and second of all 80's bands like this suck. also your list is so crappy i was surprised to see that menudo or vanilla ice werent on there, i mean cmon, Yo La Tengo????crap
Well, you asked for comments or criticism, so here goes. I've never been
sure exactly when, in a person's life, they decide they have enough
knowledge to become a critic of music, movies etc. I seems you have
reached that period in your life. I'll pre-empt my next comments, by
saying that everyone has a right to their opinion. I don't know how old
you are, I'm 45 btw, but from the choices you've listed as your pick of
the top 50 albums, not only do you seem young, you also seem to be in
your own little world when it comes to good music.
--David B.
what are you stupid????? have you ever heard of hendrix????led zepllin, nirvana? these bands did not become legendary because of luck.you need to respect the fact that these bands are what they are today because of the fact that they had raw talent and ability. i think you let your own personal taste get involved in your choices. next time you decide to waste our time with one of your little polls use your head and better judgement when you vote you ignorant fool
--Lorenzo R.
horrible list, not even healthy to look at. Oh boy am i gonna bug you. Led
Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time, absolutely do not say that they
are heavy metal or even hard rock they are just classic rock and roll like
the who and pink floyd, stones ,beatles. Most people would probably say that
LZ 4 is the best but Physical Grafitti is just as good. Listen to Kashmir and
In the Light and thats all you need to know. Houses should be in as well as
all their albums. YOUR LIST IS CRAP ALL PUNK AND NOT THAT MANY GOOD CLASSIC
ROCK AND ROLL ALBUMS.Led Zeppelin rules!
--Unsigned
first off, i think you must have spent most of your life under a rock. you should be ashamed of yourself to put some off these pompous non-talents on your list. take this site down immediately you nitwit.
--Rusk
Interesting list. Now go ask your mommy for some milk and cookies and go outside to play.
-- Gordon S.
well, i thought i was going to write you a nasty little note, but then i read all the nasty little notes you have already gotten and everything that i was going to say has already been said. I will however note that i am seventeen and even i know better than that crap . . . . you just can't begin a top 50 greatest alblums list with The Clash (what the hell are you thinkin, man?). Have you ever heard of Sticky Fingers, Let it Bleed, Are You Experienced,Deja Vu, Blonde on Blonde, After the Gold Rush, Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, Disrael Gears... my god i could go on forever. Just don't make a list like that unless you know what the hell you're doing.
-- [unsigned]
i just looked at your 50 greatest rock & roll albums of all times. it's got to be the worst not the greatest i've ever seen.
-- Terry A.
i know i've e-mailed u before, but i unfortunately came across ur site again, and i wanted to restate what a moron u r and how little u know about music, ur picks r a disgrace to the phrase rock 'n roll that has become my motivation in life, i truly feel sorry for u and ur disillusion, get a life and do some research
-- [unsigned]
WHAT, NO ZEP? WHAT THE ----WERE YOU THINKING??????????????
-- [unsigned]
Your list sucks. "Nuff said."
