| Album | Grade | Comments |
| The Stone Roses [1990] | A+ | See my full review. |
| Turns Into Stone [1992] | B+ | B-sides and alternate versions. Yes, it's a contract-milking placeholder, but worth owning for completists. |
| Second Coming [1994] | B | Contract disputes kept them out of play for a half decade, by which time the scene had largely passed them by. Portentous album title notwithstanding, this was a pretty major disappointment, and a far cry from the brilliance of the debut and early singles. Still, however badly it got beat up by critics and fans, it actually has a few great songs that nearly measure up to the legacy. Maybe not worth buying just for those, but fans of the band would be remiss in not at least giving this a chance. |
| The Complete Stone Roses [1995] | A | Somewhat bizarrely-titled album, as it's not complete, but rather a collection of pre-Second Coming singles and a few selected tracks from the debut. Still, it is definitely worth owning, as many of the singles are great, and some of the shortened versions of the album tracks are nice alternatives to the originals.
