- Buena Vida
means "the good life" in Spanish.
Harold said that if a puppy bonded to him he
would
keep it...Vida did! She is a sweetheart
with a real loving temperament. She does tricks
like her daddy, she gets the paper in the
mornings, picks up and stacks the supper bowls,
and likes to lie in Harold's lap and watch TV
when she is not competing.
- Vida finished her
championship at 14 months old in 1995 on Mother's
Day going Best Opposite Sex for a 4 pt. major.
- Vida finished her JH
title on 4/6/97. She has placed 2nd in Open
Derby, 3rd in Amatuer Derby, and 4th in Amateur
Walking puppy. Vida completed her Senior
Hunter title on March 28, 1998.
- Vida finished her
Novice Agility title with a 1st Place on 5/27/96.
She completed her Open title with two first place
finishes. Vida places 1st with a
perfect 100 in Novice Jumpers Agility at the VCA
1999 Nationals.
- Vida completed her
requirements for a Companion Dog title with three
great scores of 196.5, 196, and 195. This
qualified her for a Dog World award just like her
Mom and Dad. Vida went on to complete her
C.D.X. in 3 straight shows, with scores good
enough to qualify her for the Pupperoni Regional
competition (aka Gaines). She completed her U.D.
(with a first place) eleven months after starting
her C.D. qualifying for another Dog World award.
After taking a break in 1998 for a litter of
puppies, Vida has returned to
the obedience ring. To date she has earned 9
OTCh. points.
Vida
had a great time at the 1999 Vizsla Club of
America Nationals in Los Banos, California. She
placed first in three classes, Utility B with a
194, Open B with a 198 under judge Mrs. Rosalie
Alvarez and Novice B Jumpers With Weaves with a
perfect 100. She won Highest Scoring Dog In Trial
award and the Highest Combined Score in Trial
award for her performances. (Photo by Cook

- Vida had
her first litter of puppies in August of 1998.
She was bred to Dual Ch. Oakleaf's Everwhen
Chances R C.D., M.H., N.A., better known as
"Chance". Five of their puppies
attended the 1999 V.C.A. Nationals. Each one that
attended placed at the specialty. Ancho won Best
Puppy in Sweepstakes. Marty was first and Cielo
was fourth in the 12 - 18 month, dog class. Viva
was fourth in the Bred By Exhibitor class and
Salsa was fourth in the 12 - 18 month, bitch
class. Vida's second litter of
seven puppies was whelped on February 29, 2000
(Leap Day).
-
- On January 2, 2005 Vida at
almost 11-years-old passed her Tracking Dog
test... doing it her way! She just had to check
out the judges and spectators before making her
first turn. Once she was satisfied who was with
her on her track, she went on to complete the
track. Vida has always been an amazing dog...
Versatility producing Versatility.
