Ch. Amigo color.jpg (74183 bytes)Amigo is Spanish for friend, and he is most certainly 'mi Amigo'! Amigo made a great splash in Houston, Summer of '97. Puppy Sweepstakes winner and a five point major at the Texas Gulf Coast Vizsla Club Specialty.

At the Vizsla Club of America 1997 Nationals Amigo won both his Sweepstakes class and the Bred-by Exhibitor class. Amigo and his sister SiSi showed with Picante helping her win the Brood Bitch class.

We took a short time-out from all breed shows in 1998 to go hunting and compete in agility. Amigo completed his Novice Agility title and was ranked 9th in Novice Standard in 1998. May 15, 1999, I showed Amigo in Albuquerque, NM and he completed his championship under E. Berg. What a great feeling that was!

Amigo earned his Tracking Dog title easily on February 13, 2000 at the Tracking Club of El Paso tracking test held outside of El Paso, Texas under judges Erik Hoyer and J.C. Green. Now onto training for the T.D.X. and the V.S.T. titles.

Amigo and I are building a great partnership.  He is happy to put on "any collar" and train- be it hunting, agility, obedience, or tracking. Amigo's intensity for tracking demonstrates his willingness to be versatile and give me all that he has. I welcome having a new partner!

Best of all...Amigo's greetings are like his name, 'bienvenido mi amigo'.
