“Transparency” is a word that has appeared with increasing frequency in our public life.  It seems that over time, members of the Board are often asked what goes on at the bi-monthly meetings.  So it is in that spirit of “transparency” we have decided that from this point on, we will post the Board minutes so as to keep you informed of proposals and decisions that affect the direction of the Division, our financial status, preparations for upcoming events, and the like.

    Robert’s Rules of Order is the general guide we use at the meetings, and the minutes reflect that outline.  I write a rough draft after a meeting, submit it electronically for additions and corrections to the Board, make any necessary changes and distribute a final copy, thus saving that time at the next meeting. A hardcopy goes into our permanent files with detailed copies of the Paymaster’s Report and any other appendixes, and the copies are also saved electronically, grouped by year.
