the fun of model-railroading! Our primary activity is the
monthly
layout
tour, with the spring mini-convention being the major gathering for the
year.
The Potomac Division covers Northern Virginia (Arlington , Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, and Rappahannock counties), Washington DC, and Maryland (Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, Prince George and St Mary's counties) suburbs of DC. We have members farther away (and who have hosted layout tours!), but we are centered around DC and the Potomac River (hence the name). We have a sub-group, the Potomac Module Crew, an HO modular-layout group. We also have a discussion group on Yahoo named PD_NMRA. |
The Potomac Division is a chartered member of the Mid-Eastern Region of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). The current Bylaws were adopted at the Spring Minicon 30 April 2005.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Certain changes to the Bylaws related to election of the Division officers have been proposed and are as indicated HERE Comments should be directed to the Webmaster. Deadline for comments is February 15, 2010.
