You Held Me
My Testimony
How
can I offer gratitude, worthy of you my King?
For
in my darkness, where my problem did surpass
My
existance, then, of truly living...
Was
very much deceiving...
I
knew within, I had been sinning....
So
deep in sin was I
I
could not see beyond the lie
Try,
as I could, I could not go on
Feeling, weaker, Not strong
Knowing this was.... Oh so
wrong...
I
came to a point, of giving into my circumstance
It
seemed hopeless, there was no chance...
But
blessed assurance,
You
sent to me
A
word of truth, that set me free
It
came in the still of the night
Where I had no hope, no light
All
I could do, is call out to you
And
instinctively, somehow, I knew what to do
With
tears in my eyes...
With
a calm, and a sigh...
I
opened my Bible, and searched in your word
and
by your spirit, I heard...
I
found passages, that told me of your love
Sent
from heaven above
and
how you sent your son to die for me
Promising eternity
If I
would only seek you with all my heart and soul
Making knowing you my goal...
That
all things are possible with you
How
you offer life, and would take away my
strife....
If I
would be obedient, for this is your word, that you have
sent
It
all seemed so surreal
But
this pain, and selfish pride, that I did feel
I
wanted to be rid of
And
no longer, wanted to conceal....
Something came over me, as I gave my pain, my sin, my
misery
Repenting, I cried to thee
"Lord set me free, I accept you, Please forgive
me!"
In
the stillness of my revelation
I
had received Salvation
Being held, by the King of
Kings
To
whom now, I bring, my thankfulness, my obedience, my
offerings....
I am
forever changed
My
life has been rearranged
No
longer living a curse
The
penalty of my sin
But,
with you my Christ, who held me
I
have a life, a new way, to begin...
Because, forever now, I made the choice,
Forever, with you, I will
rejoice...
I
opened my heart, and let Christ in
With
him I win
Never to depart, never to go back to
sin.....
And
all the glory, forever, goes to him....

removing the blinders from my eyes,
and in my pain, I did gain, eternal life.
Because your Love is so great....
So awesome, are you my Lord,
my King, and I know, nothing is too hard for
you....
Lord, I know, this life, I live, is
a daily process of growing in you....
But I know, who I am, in Christ...and I know,
as I am constantly learning,
what your word says, and who
I can be. I have a great
heritage...on Earth as it is in Heaven.
As I claim your word....for it
prospers in that thing you
send it to....and it will not
return void.....I know, you
sent it to me, and it changed
me forever more....and eternally,
I am grateful, and pray to bless you
my Lord.

Gray.
Bill died, May 10th, 2002, after giving
his testimony on live television. Moments, after he shared his
testimony, he had a heart attack, and the Lord took him. His
life, and his testimony gave glory to God
up to the last minute of his
life.

Bill was a gifted artist, who used
his art for the glory of God
May his life be a reminder that God
can take us at any time.
