Another Message of Hope from Prayer of God Ministries, Prayer and Poetry written by Elena Ramirez~~~~Poem Entitled "TRUTH OR TOLERANCE" Inspired by my Pastor, George Morrison, at Faith Bible Chapel...from his recent sermon. What are we prepared to do for Christ? In our gifts and callings...will we tolerate sin, or will we speak in truth to save someone for eternity?

Truth Or Tolerance?

A wise, Pastor man that I do know
Said,
Sadly, in this world
In which we do live....
"Truth is Out and Tolerance is In"
I perceived...
Being without truth in Salvation
Is Being tolerant in Sin

Seems to be...This is reality
People seem to avoid the truth
And are not apt to react honestly
and share the gospel, as a testimony
To set someone free

What do we do, when we see
This happening physically ?
Someone falling, tripping, rapidly?

If you can...
And are able to withstand
You would hold out your hand
To break that fall
Whether or not they would call

This is a truth one would never deny
For being able,
Gives you reason to try

Well, as it is spiritually
Would you let that person be
Bound for eternity
Unable to be free?

If they were falling
And you could see
Without Christ,
They would be lost for eternity?

Truth or Tolerance
Should we not boldly speak truth in his love?
Or is this personally, unheard of?

Should we coldly let Tolerance
Become a hindrance
That could lose a soul forever
With no confidence
And that the communication, would be severed?....

Who dares to care
To share, the truth of the gospel
To tell, someone
That we all fall short of the glory of God
But by Christ,
He has made it right
God has made a way, and
when we pray...
He has allowed us to receive a revelation
For our eternal Salvation

Are we really, in truth afraid
To offer incorruptible aid...
When knowing Christ paid the cost
and knowing He took the loss....
At Pentecost?

Or do we just look the other way
Not even offering to pray
Not speaking up to say
That Jesus is the only way.....
Tolerating, sinful behavior
And yet we know, Christ as our Savior?

Something is wrong in this situation
And leads to frustration
When truth is known
But has not been shown

Truth needs to be spoken in love
For God's love,
Sets us all free
To be bold, and not cowardly

Tolerance....
Being reluctant, inconsistant
to speak a word in due season
Is treason
And denies Christs birth and death
For that very reason....

Truth to set someone free
Or Tolerance, that lost chance
In reluctance....
The consequence...
That will leave a soul lost for eternity
What should it really be?
What does God expect of you and me?

Truth or Tolerance?

Isaiah 59:4
None calleth for justice,
nor any pleadeth for truth:
they trust in vanity,
 and speak lies;
they conceive mischief,
and bring forth iniquity.

Zechariah 8:16
These are the things
that ye shall do; Speak ye
 every man the truth
 to his neighbour; execute
 the judgment of truth
and peace in your gates:

I Timothy 6:3-5
If any man teach otherwise,
 and consent not to
wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

John 8:32
And ye shall know
the truth, and the
truth shall make you free.

Father, In your Love,
you speak to us, and remind us
to be a light that shines...
To speak the gospel, of truth
to one another.  I cannot judge
anyone in this.  Nor am I called to
Judge.. Because Lord,
I fail, and I fail miserably
sometimes, in not speaking up.
In not speaking truth....
because it is easier, to tolerate someone.  But what a diservice
we are doing, by not speaking truth
to one another.  I suppose, we
do not want to judge one another,
as you say....I don't want to hit someone upside the head with the law of your Holy Bible.  I want to extend grace.
Yet, if we could
learn to do it in love, I know
you would show us a way.  If
we would ask you, for wisdom
in this matter, you would
give it liberally....
We need to pray about this.
And we need to ask you
for the boldness, and the courage.
I know I do, anyway.
I sometimes, use the excuse,
I am shy....
But I ask, for a way...
to bring you glory, and to
deliver a soul, whether,
friend, enemy, or acquaintance.
I don't have to be religous.
All I have to do, is really
give glory to you.  Never to be ashamed...
For you are my Father....
and there is none like you.
You set me free,
you searched for me
and  you found me....
Broken, and now,
I am healed...
Maybe, if I can express
that wonderful truth to
make a difference,
and speak real truth,
and real love, you will cover
a multitude of sins.
By the blood shed on the cross
But, you will not tolerate them.
In Jesus name,
Show us the way.
Amen

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb,
and by the word of their
testimony; and they
loved not their lives
unto the death.
