| It’s been a busy year at The Institute For Perinatal Education. Fred
and I have been traveling so much that we wonder at times if our office is at the airport.
As of June 1, 2003 we completed 7 Prenatal Parenting Program
Instructor’s Certification Courses, and 58 certified
instructors in 16 states and 4 countries.
We produced a 90-minute video for Instructors of The
Prenatal Parenting Program. It is a great visual review of the How-
to-Present-The-Program activities. It is available only to our instructors
for $15.00 as a review of their Instructor’s Certification Course.
Dr. Karla Damus, at the national office of The March of Dimes, wrote
last week that Fred Wirth’s Speaker’s Bureau package is on its way. The
regional and State offices of March of Dimes will soon be getting this
information. Vicki Vertich, a Certified Prenatal Parenting Instructor in
Ft. Meyers Florida, is working with her state chapter of the March of
Dimes fund pilot project for The Prenatal Parenting Program. More about
this exciting development will be in your upcoming newsletters.
Pat Sonnenstuhl, the state director for Washington and Oregon, had a
great article about the Prenatal Parenting Program recently published in
the Puget Sound Newspaper. If you would like more information about her
article please contact us at The Institute.
Our Prenatal Parenting Exercise Video
became available on DVD July
8th. The public relations agency hired to promote it is
contacting magazines, newspapers and morning talk shows to promote its
launch. You will be hearing and seeing a lot more in the press about the
Prenatal Parenting Program as a result of this advertising campaign.
We are excited
to introduce you to our featured Program Instructors of the month. This
month we feature Rodney and Amy Westlake who are new graduates of the
Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle,
Washington. Amy and Rodney are expecting their first child in January and
will be teaching The Prenatal Parenting Program in Eale Harbor, Michigan
till mid-2004 when they will be relocating to Mexico to complete their
residency. They plan to team teach the Prenatal Parenting Program in
Mexico. They are a compassionate couple with a deep passion for helping
families birth happy, healthy babies with peaceful minds. Our best wishes
for their success. |
