=Summary=
=========
We are looking to fill the following positions:
Recruitment is open at this time, we will close classes as needs are met.
All other classes are closed at this point in time.
===========
=Who we are=
===========
Primal Torment today is a raiding guild with the intention of remaining a
close-knit group of players. As such, we try to be as selective as possible in
our recruitment to find players that are both highly skilled and who will fit in
with our "family".
Recruitment with Primal Torment is not an easy or short process.
Primal Torment is an active raiding guild that raids from 1800CST to 2300CST,
usually 6 nights a week. You will be expected to make the majority of these
raids during your probationary period.
While we do have some hardcore gamers who are online basically everyday, in
Primal Torment we do believe that real life is more important than EverQuest2. We
play this game to have fun, as a haven from real life, not to make it a job.
====================
=What we are looking for=
====================
We are looking for people who enjoy playing Everquest2 not just for the loot but
for fun. This can be anything from the excitement in finishing a long and
tedious quest with a bunch of friends alongside you to the rush you feel when
you tackle and help bring down a big mob. Basically, we are looking for people
who like to hang out and just have a good time while playing EQ2 because that is
what it is: a game. If you are one of those people, then by all means read
ahead.
We are looking for solid, high attendance raiders who are personable and enjoy
teamwork, with a good reputation on the Server. Once you are a full member, raid
attendance is optional, with mandatory raids being rare. However, we are looking
for players that like raiding, and intend to raid alot. Failure to raid for an
extended period of time may subject a member to being removed from the guild at
the discretion of the officers and guild leader.
============
=Loot and DKP=
============
Primal Torment's loot policy revolves around the DKP (Dragon Kill Points)
system. The DKP system was setup to have a fair spread of loot throughout the
guild, allowing people to pick which loot they want to "buy" with
their points. Every raid you attend, you will recieve a certain number of
points. Loot that drops will be assigned a certain number of points, based on
the guild's need for the item. A person may "buy" the item with their
earned DKP. Do not be expecting any loot until you are at least a probationary
member.
We award loot on a tier-based system with Primal Torment mains getting first
pick on all loot. Once you are a full Primal Torment member you will be on equal
footing concerning loot rights and your total DKP earned will control the loot
you get.
=================
=Recruitment Process=
=================
To begin the process of applying to Primal Torment, you must post an application
on the Public - New Members forum of our guild message board or email your
application to an officer or one of the recruiters. Once you post an
application, you are considered an APPLICANT of Primal Torment. There is no
special signifigance to being an applicant. At this point, ANY raids you attend
you must get authorization from the Raid Leader (RL) before attending. Do NOT
show up for the raid without previously asking the RL.
If you acquire another guild's tag at any time after posting your application
with Primal Torment and have not asked permission from an officer or recruiter
we will consider your application withdrawn.
After a reasonable amount of time, a recruiter will be in touch with you to let
you know if your application has been approved or not. If you have been
approved, you will be given a temporary guild tag and a poll for the general
membership to vote on will be placed on our private boards. At this point you
can raid with us and attend flagging raids of any guild we have a flagging
agreement with. You will not be entitled to loot, but you will start acquiring
DKP by attending raids. At this point you will be given access to the recruit
channel.
You need six vouches from the guild membership to get in, plus an additional six
for every veto posted. Because of the requirement to overcome vetos (sometimes
it seems everyone gets at least one…) this process can take several weeks. If
you have not achieved the required vouch/veto ratio within a month, your
application will be declined. It may be declined sooner if the number of vetos
is significant. You have the right to ask a Recruiter about the general progress
of this poll, but any attempt to gain access to this private board directly or
to pressure guild members about who vouched or vetoed is considered grounds to
refuse you membership.
If you pass your poll, you will be considered a "probationary" member
of Primal Torment. You will be given access to Primal Torment’s private boards
at this point, and are required to read our guild Policies which are posted in
their own forum there. You will be a Probationary Member for a minimum of one
month and a maximum of two months.
You must achieve a 50% raid attendance during this period. If you will have an
absence from the game due to Real Life (vacations, illness, etc.) you must
inform a Recruiter so that your probation can be extended to cover this absence
and your lack of raid attendance will not count against you.
Extensions of one to four weeks can be approved by a Recruiter if you tell them
in advance. If you’ll need longer than a month, your application will be
terminated, your guild tag removed, and you may reapply when RL allows you the
time.
You can collect DKP and bid on loot, but you will be placed in a lower bidding
tier than a full member. You will be able to raid with us without permission
from the RL, but please be aware that should a raid fill up you may be asked to
leave to make room for full members. Raiding while a recruit is a privilege, not
a right. If you do not listen to directions or cause problems in any other ways
you will most likely recieve vetos for your actions, and probably will be told
by the RL to leave.
During your Probationary period your skills, teamwork, attitude, common sense
and “fit” with Primal Torment will be evaluated by the permanent guild
members, your Class Advisor, the Recruiters and the Officers. We’re not
looking for “adequate” players, we’re looking for a few skilled players
who fit us well. It is not that difficult to "play nice" and sit tight
and be unnoticed for a month. Be warned – that’s not enough to get you into
Primal Torment.
After one month as a Probationary Member your Class Advisor and the Officers
will discuss the feedback they’ve received from the guild as well as their own
observations. If two of these individuals feel you will not be a good fit, your
application will be immediately terminated. If any two give you the “thumbs
up”, you will be tagged a Primal Torment permanent member.
If neither of these occur, you will be informed by a Recruiter that your
probation is being extended a second month so that we can get to know you
better, although it may end sooner when your Class Advisor and the Officers feel
they have learned enough about you to make a decision. Probation will not be
extended beyond two months – if you aren’t a good fit by then, your
application to join us will be declined.
If the leadership approves your application at the end of the probation time,
you will become a full member of Primal Torment.

=Level, Gear, Flags=
===============
Until such time as the game becomes playable, this area will be open. Be
advised, when the game finally opens, we will be pushing members and applicants
to level as fast as possible.
