Primal Torment
Guild Charter
Primal:
Being first in time; original,
primary.
Torment:
Great physical pain or mental
anguish. A source of harassment, annoyance, or pain..
Reading of this charter is compulsory for all new members of Primal Torment.
Members may refer to this charter anytime there are questions as to what
direction the guild will take.
History
We are a family of brothers and
sisters who have forged ties of being a family through a number of MMORPG’s
and just plain downright friendship. We met and began to play together at the
very beginnings of Everquest and other games. This is the development of Primal
Torment and the primal part of the name. The torment part was us growing as
friends, learning to play together, learning each other’s weaknesses and
strengths. Our skills have been honed through such games as Everquest, Dark Age
of Camelot, Final Fantasy XI, Enemy Territory, Lineage 2, Asheron’s call 1 and
2, and others.
Ideals
Our guild was founded through our
cunning ability to work as a team and not solely as individuals. Our Guild
Leaders have proven many times over that they excel in the abilities of cunning,
ingenuity, and inspiration and downright guts on large and small raids. They
have earned their positions and respect from all the members.
Conduct
The idea that separates good
guilds from the others is the idea that a guild is only as honorably as its most
dishonorable member. It takes but one bad member in a guild to ruin a hard
earned reputation. With that in mind, Primal Torment has one major rule; there
shall be no drama queens or kings. A "DRAMA Queen/King" is defined as
any player that makes it his or her sole purpose to cause problems. Examples of
the problems are using "leet speak", antagonizing individuals, annoy,
kill stealing, or contributing to any other dishonorable action. Primal Torment
believes in giving individuals a chance to be guild members without a lot of the
painful guild indoctrination procedures; we are quick to remove members who show
a penchant for being a DRAMA King/Queen. We are an evil guild, meaning we all
play evil characters, but we are courteous and helpful to others at all times.
We want people to know who we are and to respect us and its members
Guild Government
Politics play a large part of any
organization and we have a Guild Leader which is responsible for the overall
leadership and direction of the guild. The Officers are responsible for certain
functions of the guild in game which are defined by the game and the guild. The
Class Advisors (which may be officers or not) provided assistance in raids to
others of their class and are the definitive question and answer source for
raids and assistance in becoming a better player for their class. The structure
is setup in such a way that the general members are allowed the freedom to play
the game the way they want to play it 90% of the time. We fell that the last
thing people want after returning home from work or school is to have yet
another person telling them what they need to do or how to play. At times,
members will be expected to play other roles that will aide the guild, such as
help with dkp recording, raid attendance, the website, be a raid leader, or any
other position that is needed.
Characters
Primal Torment consists of evil
characters simply because this is what we wish to play and have done so in the
past. The main character must be of an evil race and begin their journey in the
city of Freeport, whereas alternates may be of any class or any race.
Our Motto
Evil Lives so beware of Primal
Torment
Our Creed
Fear not the vain outcries of our
enemies, we will not heed to the threats and railings of the enemies who wish to
enslave us, for their numbers are few. They can not stand against us. We are
strong in wisdom, knowledge and the magical arts. More than that, we shall
evermore be masters of cunning, stalking, and subterfuge. Of course, if all else
fails, we shall simply destroy them
Recruitment
We try to be as selective as
possible in our recruitment to find players that are both highly skilled and who
will fit in with our "family". Recruitment with Primal Torment is not
an easy or a short process. Please read the recruitment sections on our website.
Raiding
Recruits will be expected to make
the majority of these raids during your probationary period so that the members
get to know you on a game level, personal level, and what skill level you are as
a player.
While we do have some hardcore gamers who are online basically everyday, in
Primal Torment we do believe that real life is more important than EverQuest2.
We play this game to have fun, as a haven from real life, not to make it a job.
