Who Are We?
We are becoming a
Christ-centered community of faith that is an inclusive,
welcoming, accepting gathering of believers. We strive to be an
intentionally diverse congregation that is increasingly able to
provide a wide variety of worship experiences. We work hard at
becoming a congregation where children and youth feel a strong
sense of belonging and support for their Christian beliefs.
Together, we work toward providing strong and active programs
for children, youth, campus ministry, and seniors. We are
working toward becoming more active in community service and
outreach in many ways. We are striving to develop more
activities, provided at different times; supported by paid staff
and continued strong lay involvement. We desire to offer a
strong Christian Education program for all ages.
What
Lutherans Believe:
-
We Believe that God the Father is our
Creator, Jesus Christ is our Savior and the Holy Ghost is our Sanctifier who brings us
newness of life.
We Accept the Holy Bible as the divinely
inspired record of God's redemptive act in Christ.
We Teach that all people are sinners and
that a person is saved only by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
We Live, not according to a formula of
"do's" and "don'ts", but in the true freedom of Christian life and
growth.
We Celebrate two sacraments within our
church as the God-given means for penetration of our lives with His love and grace.
They are Baptism and Holy Communion.
