Kissel - The Severe Mini-Macaw

Kissel is old.

Kissel was our first macaw. He is a Severe Mini-Macaw. We got him when he was still hand-feeding at about 4 months old. He was such a sweet baby... not anymore! He has a mind of his own and wants attention only when he wants it. He loves his papa but when it's bedtime he wants to plan with mama.

This is Kissel's trick-well he actually learned this one from Biggie. He gets into a "mood" and that means it's play time. He likes to tap his food dish really hard with his beak three times. That means it's time to play.

Kissel loves to lie on his back. He'll usually stay there until he has to potty. He is also potty trained. Just tell him to "go poop" and he will.

Here's Kissel outside on our picnic table. We just finished our back yard so we can take the boys outdoors now. They all love it!
