Proactive Systems was founded in 2002 by two industry veterans with over 50 years of experience delivering real-time operations systems to utilities world wide:Kevin L. CostinKevin Costin is a founder and CEO of Proactive Systems, Inc. Kevin has over 28 years of experience in the implementation and delivery of real-time systems. Mr. Costin’s career began with six years experience with building automation systems, followed by nine years experience with SCADA and Energy Management Systems for electric utilities. He has over twelve years experience with Distribution Management and Outage Management systems primarily with CES International. During his tenure at CES International, Kevin was not only a founder but also responsible for the delivery of software projects implementing the Distribution Management and Outage Management Systems across the company. Kevin was instrumental in the management of the implementation and delivery of Powerflow products CES International customers. Prior to leaving CES International, Kevin was responsible for the product development and coordination of the advanced technology offering for Electric Distribution Management (EDM) a new product offering CES is currently defining for delivery. Kevin has been participating with the Multispeak community and is a senior member of the IEEE. Todd M. FrisvoldTodd Frisvold is a Founder and CTO of Proactive Systems, Inc. He has been involved with software engineering, delivery, and support since 1982. Since 1987, Todd has directed his focus to Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Outage Restoration Management (ORM) systems, and AM/FM/GIS solutions. Prior to forming Proactive Systems, he was a founder and key player in the definition and growth of CES International. He has been the technical leader for many DMS/ORM development and delivery projects and has established himself as an expert consultant in the field of GIS information modeling and system engineering. He brings a strong computer science methodology into an engineering focused solution space. He has been a member of IEEE and a member, speaker, and/or conference attendee of GITA for much of the past fifteen years and is involved with the Multispeak community. |
