The events for the fall are firming up and I urge you to keep posted.
The SME Chapter 7 student chapter has been saved, the chapter was closed due to the retirement of Len Lema from CCSU. Special Thanks to Dean Kremens and Professor Professor Mohammed Gadalla of CCSU. Prof. Gadalla had been a member of SME since being a graduate student and was the faculty advisor for the SME student chapter at Texas A&M in Corpus Christi where he has transferred from. He has written a number of publications for SME and has taken the role of student advisor, lets welcome him.
I would like to thank Earle Leavitt, for his work with the SME chapter, he has decided not to renew his membership and has stepped down from his position as an officer of the Chapter. Thanks Earle for everything.
I would like to welcome back Paul Shupe for giving a hand with our executive board, and encourage our new member James Habecker, for his help in the chapter management and attending the last ex meeting.
