Synopsis

It’s opening night of a new musical version of “The Taming of the Shrew” and the cast is hoping for a hit. The show's bickering stars, Fred Graham and Lilli Vanessi, realize it’s also the first anniversary of their divorce. In their dressing rooms before the show opens, they recall happier times as struggling actors. Lilli receives flowers from Fred and she realizes she is still in love with him. But when she reads the card and learns the flowers are meant for another actress named Lois Lane, she wreaks havoc on stage. Problems are compounded when Lois' boyfriend, Bill Calhoun, signs Fred's name to a gambling debt and the thugs show up demanding payment.

This 1948 musical comedy was Cole Porter’s comeback and his most successful Broadway show. Songs include: Another Openin’, Another Show; So In Love, Brush Up Your Shakespeare, Too Darn Hot and many more!
