PC is a student drama club where students learn by doing. As much as possible, the shows are created and run by students with guidance and assistance from directors and adult volunteers. The producers work with the director to organize a production team for each show. A crew meeting is held after each show is cast. Each crew has a student crew chief that works with the adult mentor to organize the crew. No prior experience is needed to volunteer on a crew, just a willingness to learn.
SET CONSTRUCTION
Volunteers who have basic carpentry skills are needed to construct sets for each show. Building generally takes place in the high school wood shop (Times TBA). Adults and students who are willing to work and learn are welcome to join the crew. Please note that students are not allowed to use the power saws.
Student Crew Chief: Anna Read
SET PAINTING
This crew follows the set construction crew to paint and finish the set pieces. Painting takes place in the PC basement. Times for specific shows will be posted on the website. Volunteers who enjoy working with color and paint are always needed. Student Crew Chief: Becca Iandoli
PROPS & SET DECORATION
This crew hunts for or creates the small items needed on stage for the actors to use and items to decorate the set. Volunteers who enjoy making things are always needed. This crew meets in the PC basement as needed to work on each show. Student Crew Chief: Sam Corron
COSTUMES
The costume designer creates the style and look of the costumes. Adult and student crew assistants help by sewing, searching for, altering and repairing costumes. A few volunteers help during the run of the show to keep costumes in order and clean for each performance. Student Crew Chiefs: Avery Bourdeau, Hanna Metheny
HAIR AND MAKEUP
This crew identifies and learns the hair and makeup styling techniques that will be needed for each show and they teach and assist cast members during dress rehearsals and performances. The crew is mainly students, although a few adults are needed for the larger shows, like the musical. Professional hair stylists and makeup artists are consulted, as needed. Student Crew Chief: Maddie Smith
PUBLICITY
This crew promotes each production by creating visibility through newspaper articles, posters, fliers, sandwich boards, and any other opportunity to "get the buzz going." Planning is done by students and adults together prior to each show and most of the work is done in the five weeks leading up to opening night. Student Crew Chief: Kate Rodophele
PHOTO BOARD & PHOTO CD
Photographers are needed to take cast photos for photo board and to shoot photos during the final dress rehearsals to create a photo CD as a cast memento. Volunteers are also needed to produce the photo CD. Student Crew Chief: Noah Simes
TICKET SALES
Students are needed to assist adults with several parts of this process including the cast ticket contest and ticket sales at lunch. Student Crew Chief: Amanda Duggan
