"You can be anything you want to be":
First off, I'd like to know why people are so stupid. Secondly, why do we even bother? The phrase "You can be anything you want to be" is entirely false. Never once has anyone ever been what they truly wanted to be. Its ironic how a perfect student who has made nothing but A's all throughout school, has a 4.2 GPA, 1300 SAT's, a 30 on ACT's, and a kick-ass webpage that beats the shit out of everything else on the internet cannot have a decent chance at a better-than-mediocre life.
The phrase "You can be anything you want to be" pisses me off. This one phrase can change a person's life; however, the way it changes a person's life is only in the negative way. It gives false hope to those who trust and believe in it. When a person finally realizes that he or she cannot be what they've always wanted to be, they feel crushed, depressed, and abandoned. He or she is then forced to pick another career to pursue. No matter what, this person will never be happy doing their job. Every character on the movie Office Space was probably given the false hope that many of us are given throughout our lives, wasn't able to become what they wanted to be, changed careers, and then hated the job they eventually got. That's what all of our lives are going to be like if we don't destroy the optimistically-bullshitting phrase "You can be anything you want to be".
Let's face it. None of us are going to be famous, none of us are going to live an extravagant lifestyle, and none of us will be in a history book. So why work so hard in school? I don't know. My advice to you is to give up trying to live out your dreams. It won't happen,TRUST ME.
On the lighter note, I would like to destroy anyone and everyone that believes in that stupid ass phrase. Forget it, you're mediocre. Oh, and by the way, I'd like to add a random thing to this article: Stealing HTML is gay as hell. You're pathetic if you can't write your own. I'm aware of assholes taking my words off my site and using them without giving me credit. Screw you to hell.
