Hi, I'm a HP Tru64 UNIX System administrator and Caché DBA. I converted to doing this from being a senior M Programmer about six years ago. I am currently working for Harvard VanGuard Medical Associates in the corporate office locate in Newton Massachusetts. This use to be part of Harvard Pilgrim Heath Care. A while ago I converted a copy of my Resume to HTML. The original Conversion didn't look very good but I have finished modifying it using tables to look more like the original. If you take a look at it, mail me and let me know what you think. Any suggestions to make it better would be appreciated.
- Many years ago I switched my ISP from TIAC, with whom I happily subscribed for over two years, to Mediaone, which as been taken over by AT&T, which is now COMCAST. If you like surfing the net and you ever get a chance to go with a cable modem connection don't pass it up. Whenever your machine is up your a click away from where ever you want to go, your phone is free and the speed is intoxicating. If the server can serve it, 10 megs/minute. Even the shared T1 connections at work are slow compared to this.
- I have for years said my daughter would someday create her own home page and she finally did at school. I had it linked below, but alas the space died. Maybe she will create another one in the future.
- One of these day's I might even create one for my wife. She's not really into the net but after a couple of years of email she is getting more into it. She even orders books and things on line and recently has become a fan of EBay.
- In the spring a lot of my time use to go to the BGSA (Billerica Girls Softball Association) as Assistant Coach for my daughters team. She graduated in 1999 so I now have the spring off. I thought I would have more time to get things done, but with work and day to day thing that is not really true. The team was Dunkin' Donuts North of the Western Division Senior Leage, but in 1999 changed to Mancini Sheet Metal . A few years ago I had the Team Roster and Schedule posted on my home page, but in 1998 Rick Heckbert, the Coach, and I created a Dunkin' Donuts North, now Mancini Sheet Metal home page with all the related team info. The fancier work was done by Rick Heckbert and now he has created and maintains the BGSA web which has a link above.
- A long while back I created a home page for N.E.M.U.G (New England M Users Group) , a non profit group I belong to. I have a copy of the oringinal at a location on my page but I turned over the page to a person with a lot more know how and artistic sense and it can be seen at www.nemug.org .
- My newest interest is SCUBA diving. Actually it is renewed interest because I was a qualified diver 30 years ago when I was in the U.S. Navy. The equipment has changed a lot but the underwater world is still as beautiful. When I have more time I will have to create a link page that's SCUBA related and also put up some of the picture of our resent trip to Bonaire,NA. I'm currently saving to go back. 80 degree air and water temperatures and 100 foot plus underwater visibility make it the greatest.
