SYSTEM RESOURCES CORPORATION 1994 - 1995

Programmer Analyst for SRC's contract with Harvard Community Health Plan(HCHP). This project originally consisted of the redesign of a 25-year-old legacy Automated Medical Record System (AMRS). As part of this project used RE/M and RE/Data tools to analyze and document the current system. Also, wrote Function and Technical Specifications for the Redesign.

Work at HCHP included on call support and work on small projects to free up the in house staff to complete Queue Projects in anticipation of an upcoming conversion of AMRS to a client server system with a Microsoft Visual Basic front end.

PROGRAMMER ANALYST
1979 - 1990

Progressed from Programmer Trainee through Application Programmer to Programmer Analyst responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and debugging a MIIS Order Entry and Finished Good Inventory system running at multiple company sites on assorted Data General hardware and interfacing with applications running on Hewlett Packard and IBM platforms.

Conceived, designed and implemented an extensive Back Order Reporting application that improved customer relations and shortened manufacturing response time.

Completed a partially written ASYNC communication package including testing, debugging and fine tuning the software and its hardware interfaces for peak efficiency; this permitted the real time transfer of data between sites.

Developed a methodology, using multiple MIIS features, to write formatted, fixed length records to tape, using only slightly modified existing print routines; this allowed creation of tapes for fiche production and greatly simplified many later system interfaces.

When modifying existing code to incorporate a new tax routine, rewrote the invoice create routines and removed all unused code and variables; installed the system free of errors and realized a 25% performance improvement.

Initiated and completed 4 system upgrades within a 6 month period, coordinating external and internal hardware and software scheduling, performing hardware testing, converting data and resolving problems as they arose, to facilitate the installations with a minimum of down time.

Participated, as part of a test group of Programmers, in the use of PC's in place of CRT's and some mainframe facilities. As our knowledge of PC's increased so did our productivity resulting in the entire programming staff being equipped with PC's.
