	06/13/06 ... !!WOW!!  The moon and stars must have been in perfect alignment yesterday!  FIVE records were broken.   P. Baker and S. Badger knocked 52sec off that set by R. Kirk and J. Legere.  Tom Stevens and Doug Day are still laying it down and posted a credible 0:17:36, just nipping Randy Kirk and Stuart Jensen by 2 sec.  Team Battered & Bruised (Karen Franzen and Ralph "Pulverizer" Pulver) broke their own record by 3 seconds and promise more to come later this year.  Laura Jensen and Marilyn Quinlan broke the women's two year record by 40 seconds.  Nice work, ladies!!  Dave Marti joins an elite group that hold TWO records!  In this unique case, he holds them at the same time.  Dave set a 0:20:05 record for my favorite, fixed gear, category.  CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!

Congratulations to Greg Carpenter for riding a 17 to 18 age group record (0:13:29) at the Hill TT course and breaking Jonathon Raye's 2005 record (0:14:27).  Greg also recorded the fastest OVERALL time of the day.  NICE JOB!

	05/15/06 ... updated the Records page.  Congratulations to Dave Marti for riding a age 50 to 59 age group record (0:19:42), breaking P. Mickelson's 2004 record (0:19:52).  Congratulations to Russell Polsgrove for racing the first, fixed gear bike during the PVTTS's history.  Russ set the bar at 0:22:20.  ... The first 2006 Hill TT is next week!  I hope to see you there.  Remember to bring your 05/10/06 race numbers. ...  All marshals reported the bike frame number as much easier to read.

	05/04/06 ... the 4th Annual 2006 Pleasant Valley Time Trial Series is about to begin.  The first event is postponed one day and will be conducted on Wed. 05/10/06.  All other details remain the same. ... Two (2) volunteers to help at registration and marshal the turn-around would be helpful.  Please send me note. ... For 2006 the 16 mile TT has been eliminated and an additional Hill TT has been added.  A portable toilet has been provided for PVTTS exclusive use and is located adjacent to the tennis courts at the rear of the parking lot.  For 2006, riders will wear a number tag on their right side AND fasten their number to the top tube/head tube.  Riders will use the same number for the entire year!

WOW!  The Premier Hill TT was very well received by an experienced group of riders as safe, challenging and convenient.  The times were surprisingly fast!  Gerry Clapper rode the course in an elapsed time of 0:13:07!  Congratulations!  All results and records have been posted.  I hope to see you at the 06/28/05 Team Time Trial.
	06/10/05 ... The Elapsed Time and Age Group tabulations in .html are posted. ... Insurance Certificates for Towns of Granby and Hartland received from the USCF.  All is ready for the premier Hill TT.  The Madison Cup at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome is scheduled for 08/12/05.  I'm going as spectator Friday and riding on the road Saturday (local club ride or race).  If you are interested, send a note.

	05/25/05 ... New England Weather is something special.  The premier 16 mile ITT is postponed to 06/07/05 due to weather conditions.  I will post the weather decision on the EBCC discussion board about 3:00pm on questionable days.   In the future, I hope to be able to post a notice here from a remote site.  June'05 will have 3 events - 16m ITT on 06/07, 3.5m Hill ITT on 06/14, and 16m TTT on 06/28.  Get Ready!! ... I'm experiencing programming difficulty with the Flyer web page, please refer to the Flyer_pdf file.

	Juniors ...  !!! A NEW U18 RECORD, DAVID SHERP, 19:04!!!  A record five riders U18 participated with the youngest ever, 13 year old Steve Carpenter.  Should I create an U15 age category?
	Women ...  Five women riders, tied the previous record for most female riders and finished within 50 seconds of each other.  Patsy Thomas continued her speedy ways. Welcome Julie Rodriguez and Erin Duggan.
	Men ... John Legere recorded a personal best and the fastest time of the day on a borrowed rear wheel (thanks Monica).  Dave Sherp and Ralph Pulver recorded Personal Bests.  Were there any others out there?
	The Barkhamsted First Selectman, Steve Fry, requested I ensure that riders remove trash (i.e. 'energy' bar wrappers, beverage containers, etc.).  Your cooperation will keep this venue open.
	Thanks to Stuart, Andrea, and Laura for their assistance!  The event had a welcoming, club 'feel'.
	05/09/05 ... Received  05/06/05 cover letter from William F. Smith Jr., Granby Town Manager, transmitting 04/29/05 Memo from David L. Watkins, Granby Chief of Police, disapproving use of Mountain Road for the Hill Time Trial.  I intend to continue pursuing this venue.  Feel free to contact Mr. Watkins and persuade him to allow usage.

	04/28/05 ... Published in Farmington Valley Post, Vol.17, Issue #9, page 28 ... This is the first time the PVTTS has received notice in newspaper.
	04/26/05 ... The Hill TT Venue will NOT be Greenwoods Drive, Barkhamsted due to unsafe pavement conditions.  Mountain Road in Granby and Hartland is the current focus of our permit approval efforts.
