I lost myself in Tic-Tac-Toe
Those boxes were too much
I didn't want to pay attention,
so I just gave up

The notes were long and pointless
With not one word redeeming
Besides, I'd been called out of class
Catching up? That's just dreaming

"Forget it," I said to myself
"These stupid notes are worthless
I shouldn't let my evil teacher
make my day so mirthless!"

And so I sat there, by myself
Playing Tic-Tac-Toe
The only one that played the game,
I was the X, the O

That class was actually quite fun
The paper's on my shelf
Still, I can't help but wonder...
How do you lose to yourself?
