Cats are God's gift to man. They are the most intelligent of any domesticated animal.

My oldest kitty is Curiosity. He had a beautiful, sweet brother, Trouble (who has passed over the Rainbow Bridge).
My best friend rescued these two wonderful kitties from a rat-infested tenament on the west side of Chicago and for 8 years now they have been my babies. They usually keep this much of a distance between them, giving each other their "space" :).

The next eldest is Blackie, an all black cat whom I acquired from a friend when he asked me to cat-sit and never returned for her. She was lonely and afraid and has since become very friendly and had 3 litters of kittens!!! She is 7½.

Then there are Smokie and Coal. They are from Blackie's first litter of kittens. Smokie is a feisty little girl with gray and white stripes. Coal is all black and looks just like his mom except larger. They had a sister named Hootie who went to live with a friend who had a little girl who very much wanted a loveable kitty. Hootie fit the bill purrfectly.

Next is Snowball, who is all white except for a black spot on her nose and her tail. She is EXTREMELY shy. She even still hides from me sometimes. When she is ina good mood she lets me pet her tummy. ;)

Nicky and Crybaby were my sweet husband's kitties. Nicky is a bit on the shy side but Baby is a real scamp. They fit in perfectly with their new family though. Sometimes they fight but when bedtime comes all is peaceful at home!

Downey was from a huge family of kitties. She belonged to my Grandaughter, Caitie. We were asked to care for her because she could not have another cat. Of course we said yes and now we have a little baby girl who gets into EVERYTHING. But she is so cute, we cannot help but adore her. She is about 9 months old and can be such a little baby! But she is one of "US" now. ;)

All my cats are domestic and at the present time, spayed and/or neutered. This is very important since they can breed so easily while indoors. All my cats are domestic ones, and are loved with every bit of my soul. They are truly life-savers for me in times of stress and depression and I would never give them up for anything. They are certainly like children to me.
