"Pay Attention" October 17, 2002
The 99-00 TV Season brought you such flaming piles of crap as "God, The Devil & Bob," "Clerks," and "Ryan Caufield, Year One." It also yielded West Coast Jeff, Year One. In it's early stages, it was nothing to pay real close attention to. It didn't even really have a name in the beginning! But, despite it all, we were given room to grow, and another season was ordered.
In 00-01, While the so-called 'networks' were busy unleashing "My Guide To Becoming A Rock Star," "Normal, Ohio," "Bette," and (my favorite) "The Michael Richards Show" to an unsuspecting public, Season 2 of WCJ found an audience with you.
01-02: Anyone remember "The Downer Channel?" Me neither. And who thought "That 80's Show" or the virtually unwatched "Wednesday 9:30 (8:30 Central)" were good ideas? Granted, they were all still better than "Inside Schwartz" and "Bob Patterson." Be that as it may, WCJ Season Three proved to be our strongest yet, providing another alternative to watching crap TV: Reading crap web-sites, with the launch of WCJ-I, the official web site of West Coast Jeff at www.westcoastjeff.com
Now, the 02-03 season promises to be the biggest and best yet! Competing against shows like "Push, Nevada" (already canceled! -ed.) and "Cedric The Entertainer Presents," (whose original title was shortened from "Cedric The Entertainer Presents The Wayne Brady Variety Show That Failed Last Season,") WCJ Season 4 promises to be every bit of agitating as the first three! Complete with a new cast and a new set!!
