Events The A.W.W.A. has also had the opportunity to work with other organizations to bring entertainment to the community and to raise money for their respective causes. In May of 1998, the A.W.W.A. joined with the Armenian Assembly to bring the play Nine Armenians, starring Olympia Dukakis, by Leslie Ayvazian to the Emerson Majestic Theater in Boston. On September 19, 2000, the A.W.W.A. joined forces once again, this time with the Armenian Health Alliance, to bring Nune and Djivan in Concert to the Berklee Performance Center. With each function, from concept to execution, the energetic women of the A.W.W.A. bring their talents and skills together to see that the event runs smoothly and is successful. For the women of the A.W.W.A., success means not only raising funds to support the organization's goals but also providing an entertaining and enjoyable occasion for members of the community. No matter how hard and how long members work on an event, there is always a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that is felt in seeing what a group of women can achieve when working together for one united purpose. |
