I'm the son of a marine and grew up mainly on the California coast. I first became a baseball fan of the San Diego Padres in the mid-70s: Randy Jones, Dave Winfield, Gene Richards, Mike Champion, Bill Almon, Rick Sweet, Dave Freisleben, John D'Acquisto, Gene Tenace, Dave Kingman, Gaylord Perry, Broderick Perkins, Rollie Fingers, Tito Fuentes, Merv Rettenmund (what a freakin' mish-mash those teams were...and they pretty much all managed to lose 100 games). I went to college in Phoenix where I was fortunate enough to meet the lovely Judy who I married as quickly as possible. I joined the Air Force in 1985 and have served in it since. I have been involved in APBA leagues since 1986, and was lucky enough to meet Tom Lingle in the Azores in 1990; we've been good friends ever since. I currently work at the Air Command and Staff College in distance learning.
