Arrogant Bastards 3, Eliminators 0

Gm 1 - AB 5 Eli 1

The first inning would sum up the night for the Eliminators.......Jose Reyes would reach on an error and steal 2nd. A Joe Mauer single would give the Eliminators first and third with no outs. After an Andrew McCutchen strikeout, Jay Bruce would hit into a double play to end the inning.....and this would just be the beginning of a night of futility. The Bastards would capitalize starting in the 3rd inning. Jeff Keppinger's RBI single would score Ichiro providing the early 1-0 lead. Kendry Morales would hit a two out 3 run homer in the 6th and the Bastards would never look back. Ryan Vogelsong would scatter 7 hits over 6 2/3 innings for the victory.

Gm 2- AB 3 Eli 1

Ten game winner David Price would try to change the Eliminator fortunes but it was rough going early. Former Eliminator Wilin Rosario would lead off the bottom of the second with a double followed by a Matt Holliday single. After a Matt Wieters strikeout, then Adam LaRoche walked to load the bases. Ben Revere followed with a two run single to provide a 2-0 lead. The Eliminators would try to mount a comeback in the top of the 4th. Johnathon Lucroy led off with a single followed by a Mark Texieria double. An Adam Jones sac fly would score Lucroy to cut the lead in half, but Brett Lawrie and Jay Bruce would follow with strike outs to end the threat. Then, the final blow would come in the top of the 7th. Jay Bruce's two out walk would chase Bastard starter Cliff Lee. Joel Hanrahan would come in to face Tyler Flowers. After much debate, the Eliminators would allow Flowers to hit. An 11 was dropped....Flowers had a 5.....and the Eliminators celebrated a possible two run homer, except a 5 against a 30 on first base becomes a 9. With runners on first and second, Neil Walker would struck out and the threat was ended. Mike Stanton's solo homer in the bottom of the 7th would give the Bastards a 3-1 lead. The Eliminators would get runners on first and second with two outs in the ninth, but Randy Choate was able to get Neil Walker to pop out for the final out of the game.

Gm 3 - AB 4 Eli 0

The final game of the series and season would be an elimination game. The loser would be finished for the year and be out of the play-offs while the winner would have the chance to make the post season by winning play-in games. The Bastards would score single runs in the first and second innings as they would cruise to a 4-0 victory. Mike Trout would lead off the bottom of the first with a solo homer and Ichiro's RBI single in the second would provide the early runs. The Bastards would tack on two runs in the seventh to provide the final count of 4-0. Max Scherzer would pitch a complete game allowing only 3 hits and striking out 12.

The Eliminator collapse was complete as they were eliminated from the play-offs. The three trades made to help push the team toward a possible title run were for naught as the team came up short for a title run.
