Portland Morris' Bacchan'Ale Arrival Instructions

If you are flying into the Portland International Airport, you will be taking the MAX (Metropolitan Area eXpress, a.k.a. light-rail train) from the airport to the Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Portland, where Lacey (your trusty transportation coordinator) will meet you. Depending on arrival time, there will be time to eat, drink, and socialize for a while at the pub, until one of our Portland volunteers arrives to drive you and your luggage down to Salem to the Ale site.

How to find the MAX station at the airport:

• If you are not picking up luggage -- Once you come out of your gate and come to the ticket lobby area, turn to your right. Keep going to the right until you get to the escalator. The MAX stop is at the bottom.

• If you are picking luggage -- From the baggage claim area, head out the doors toward the parking garage and turn right. The MAX is just around the corner (there are signs).

• Note: The airport is the end of the MAX line, so you don't have to worry about getting on the right train. Trains run approximately every 15 minutes. If for some reason you have not received a MAX ticket with your registration packet, or don't have it with you, you can purchase one at the ticket machine by the MAX stop. You'll need an All-Zone ticket. Either way, you will need to validate your ticket by sticking it in the validation machine next to the ticket machine. You don't need to give it to anybody, but you do need to show it if asked.

How to find the Rock Bottom Brewery:

• You'll be on the train for about 35 minutes. Get off at the "Morrison / SW 3^rd Ave" stop. (The stop before this is "Oak/SW 1^st Ave." All stops are announced and displayed if a display is available.) The Brewery is right in front of you toward the back of the train when you disembark. The address is 206 SW Morrison St. We'll probably try to get a table outside if it's nice; otherwise, look for Lacey inside.
