8-6) JANET ANDERSON- Born about August 1792 & buried on December 3, 1793.

8-7) JANET ANDERSON- Born on June 14, 1795 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland & died early....+JOHN STEWART- He was a wholesale wine & spirit merchant in Glasgow. John & Janet were probably married on June 9, 1823 in Glasgow.

8-8) ELIZABETH ANDERSON- Born on July 2, 1798 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. She was named after her father's mother, unmarried, & resided at Bath Street in Glasgow. Elizabeth died on January 17, 1883 at age 86 in Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland. Her niece, Jane Hay Hamilton, was the informant of her death.

8-9) ANN ANDERSON- Born about August 25, 1797 & buried on December 30, 1799.

8-11) JANE ANDERSON- Born about February 1799 & buried on November 21, 1799.

8-12) MARGARET ANDERSON- Born on April 20, 1800 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. She died about 1871 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland....+ROBERT BROWN- Born on May 12, 1795 in Whinpark (near Kilmarnock). His parents were JAMES BROWN & MARGARET ALEXANDER. Robert was an ordained minister. He died on July 18, 1847 & was buried at the United Presbyterian Church of Cumnock.

9-1) MATTHEW ANDERSON- Born on March 14, 1819 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He was a baker and also a wine and spirit merchant in Glasgow. Matthew died on January 8, 1852 in Glasgow....+CATHERINE JOHNSTON-The birth date & place is currently unknow. She & Matthew were married on July 12, 1842 in Gorbals, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Catherine died on March 13, 1847 in Glasgow.

9-2) ALEXANDER STEVENSON ANDERSON- Born on November 27, 1820 in Glasgow & died there on February 28, 1865…+LOUISA JANE DODDS- The birth pdate & place are currently unknown. Her father was EDWARD DODDS. She & Alexander were married on February 27, 1855 in Saint James, Westminster, London, England.

9-3) JAMES ANDERSON- Born on April 18, 1822 in Glasgow. He was master mariner of the ship, Rajasthan. James was unmarried and died on December 6, 1852 in Singapore. He was 30 years old. There is a memorial plaque for him placed in the walls of Fort Canning Park. See picture at the National Archives of Singapore.

9-4) RACHEL ANDERSON- Born probably on November 23, 1824 in Glasgow. She died early in Madeira….+JAMES WADDELL- The birth date & place are currently unknown. He & Rachel were married on June 7, 1847 in Glasgow. James was a resident of Stonefield (opposite Glasgow Green). Waddell street, that went through his estate, was named after him. James died about 1851 in Madeira.

9-5) JANET ANDERSON- The birth date & place are currently unknown….+ JOHN PLIMMER- Born on June 28, 1812 in Upton Magna, Shropshire, England & christened on October 4, 1812 in Leighton, Shropshire. His parents were ISAAC PLIMMER & MARY MOORE. John was a master builder and plaster. In 1841, he immigrated to New Zealand with his fist wife and children. They settled in in the Te Aro district of Wellington where John started a timber and charcoal-burning business and limeworks. He was also very active in the community and called the "Father of Wellington". John married Janet on May 30, 1864 at Molesworth Street, Wellington, New Zealand. He died on January 5, 1905 in Wellington & buried at the Bolton Street Cemetery.

9-6) JANE ANDERSON The birth date & place is currently unknown. She was unmarried and lived in Edinburgh, Scotland.

9-10) ELIZABETH TAYLOR ANDERSON- Born on October 4, 1830 in Glasgow….+ GEORGE HENRY WATT, JR.- Born on April 8, 1828 in Barony, Lanarkshire, Scotland. His parents were GEORGE HENRY WATT, SR. (cotton yarn merchant in Glasgow) & MARTHA ANN LAMB. George Jr. was a cotton yarn mercant at Johnston Watt & Co.. He & Elizabeth were married on October 12, 1854 in Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland. George Jr. died on July 26, 1883.

9-11) HELEN WILLOCK ANDERSON-Born on April 20, 1832 in Glasgow & died in 1883 in Wellington, New Zealand….+JAMES STUART- The birth date & place are currently unknown. He was a provision merchant in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. James & Helen were married on October 29, 1852 in Glasgow. At some point they emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand.

9-12) HENRY ANDERSON- Born about December 1837 in Glasgow. He was educated in Glasgow to become a chemist. John traveled to China with his brother, James, who was a master mariner. In 1858, he moved to New Zealand. Henry lived with his sister, Janet (?), for two years in Rangitikei before settling in Wellington. He was the newspaper editor of "Wellington Independent" among other things. Henry died on July 20,1888….+CAROLINE MONTGOMERY OR SCHULTZE

She died on June 9, 1872 in Cardross, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.The informant of Jane's death was her husband, Forrest....+FORREST FREW- Born on February 25, 1821 & christened on March 4, 1821 in Kinnoull, Perthshire, Scotland. His parents were FORREST FREW (Minister of United Presbyterian Church) & MARGARET INGLIS. Forrest was a power loom manufacturer. He & Jane were married on June 12, 1849 in Barony, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Forrest died on April 17, 1896 in Cardross, Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The cause of death was Jaundice. The informant of Forrest's death was his son-in-law, Cecil Wade.

His parents were JOHN HAMILTON & ELIZABETH MILLER. Andrew & Jane immigrated in 1859 to Australia. They were married on June 12, 1860 in Eaglehawk, Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Rev. Henderson was the officiant. Andrew was a merchant in Melbourne, Victoria. He died on December 16, 1869 at California Gully, Bendigo.

Her parents were JOSEPH SCOTT (a glass manufacturer in South Shields ) & MARY FOSTER. She & James were married on June 26, 1860 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. His parents were GEORGE McCULLOCH (a brush maker) & MARION PATON. James was an Engineer's Draughtsman. He & Elizabeth were married on June 27, 1883 at 660 Dalmarnock Road in the Bridgeton District of Glasgow. James died on December 18, 1930 at 12 Cowlairs Road in the Springburn District of Glasgow. The cause of death was Arterio-Sclerosis. James' son, George McCulloch of 175 Caledonia Road in Glasgow, was the informant of his death.

During those years George was a champion hurdle racer. After University he was a cotton yarn merchant at Johnston Watt & Co (were his father also worked). Later he became an English Barrister and Justice of the Peace for Argyllshire. George owned and resided at the Ardenslate Estate in Hunter's Quay. His parents were SIR CHARLES WILLIAM MORRISON-BELL (1st Baronet of Otterburn Hall in Otterburn, Northumberland, England. He added Morrison in 1905) & LOUSIA MARIA DAWES. Claude and Frances were married in 1903. He was the 2nd Baronet of Otterburn Hall & Captain of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. In 1936 Claude bought the Glendon Estate. He died on November 22, 1943.

12-3) DONALD GRAHAM NAPIER- Born in 1908. He was a Lieutenant in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. Donald was killed in February 1945 during the Malayan campaign.


Frances Isabel Logan & Claude William Hedley Morrison-Bell’s children:
(Frances was the daughter of Isabella Robertson Frew & Charles Atkinson Logan)


12-1) KATHLEEN FRANCES MORRISON-BELL- Born in 1906 and died on March 10, 2001.

12-2) DAPHNE FRANCES MORRISON-BELL- Born in 1908.

12-3) VERONICA FRANCES MORRISON-BELL- Born in 1911....+JOHN JEROME STONBOROUGH-Born on June 11, 1912 in Vienna, Austria. His mother was Mrs. Margaret Stonborough (There is a portrait of her painted by Gustav Klimt). John & Veronica were married in 1942. He died on April 29, 2002 in Ferndown, Dorset, England.

12-4) CHARLES REGINALD FRANCIS MORRISON-BELL- Born on June 6, 1915 and died on December 22, 1967.
