Kaila & James Puppies Whelped on June 09. 2009. *Pups hike at Bernheim Forrest News Flash! We went to Michigan to bring our two puppies home and here they are. What can I say, they are the best puppies. Smart and just about housebroken, exactly the way i like them. Thanks to Melody and Guy Joyce, who have done a wonderful job in raising these babies. The long drive home was pleasant and uneventful. The puppies slept most of the way and acted like seasoned travelers, neither one of them got car sick. Both took to leash training with ease and used the bathroom every stop we made, as if they have always done it this way. What a couple of cutie pies. Introducing "Scarlet" and "Style"!
We were able to co breed this litter with Melody and Guy Joyce because we are fortunate to have such great friends like Charlotte Lee and Tony Groenendijk who have made the beautiful James available to us and of course his breeders Unto Timonen & Sampo Miettinen of Woodbrooks Whippet, for breeding such a wonderful boy. However most of all i want to thank Melody and Guy of Rejoyce whippets for doing all the hard work of raising the litter and doing a super job. Then letting us come in and just pick the puppies we wanted. Thank you all!!! Truthfully we wanted to adopt Guy but Melody wouldn't let us. What a great supportive husband/helper he is. ;o) Pictures below are of the puppies at 10.5 weeks old. They still need a little practice but they are getting there ;o) Below # 3 girl, now Rantina's Rejoyce Under A Georgia Moon, "Scarlet"
Below #6 girl, now Rantina's Rejoyce Southern Style, " Style"
Here they are together with my daughter Christina at 10.5 wks. The pictures were taken at Freeman Lake, where the puppies got to meet lots of new people and had a ball. They absolutely loved it, both have such a great outgoing personality.
Below are 11.5 week old pictures of the pups, taken at the Lexington Show camp ground in KY. As you can tell by the pictures the puppies had a blast playing on the beds in the RV. They were very helpful in shredding the armband numbers ;o)
Playing with uncle Julep who did well at the show and won Wednesday and Friday, winners dog and best of winners. Saturday he went reserve to his big brother Chasin. Uncle Chasin did well on Saturday by winning winners dog and best of winners.
Yum... chewing on sticks their favorite pastime.
Finally getting tired, ready for a nap!
You can see the whole litter's individual pictures here http://www.rejoycewhippets.com/jameskailalitter.html Pups hike at Bernheim Forrest My brother Uwe and his wife Gitti were recently here visiting us from Germany.
